Meet Lisa Bice

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Bice.

Hi Lisa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Long Island, NY, but raised in suburban Atlanta by a single mom with my two siblings. My fascination with business and entrepreneurship stems from watching my parents- although they were divorced, they inspired me independent of each other. My Dad is a successful entrepreneur himself, and comes from a long line of successful entrepreneurs; my Mom worked for many years in corporate America- always corporate training and traveling for work- both parents directly and sometimes unintentionally taught business acumen, prowess, and lessons that can’t be taught in school! They led by example with their ambition. I graduated from college with a Finance degree assuming that I would move to New York and work in the stock market or as a wealth advisor for a large bank. I ended up moving back to Atlanta and was offered a corporate job. I climbed quickly in my career but I always knew that entrepreneurship was in my veins and it was my end goal.

After a number of years in Corporate America, it took a series of events for me to finally hone in on my entrepreneurship goal and what my path needed to look like over the next five years, ten years, etc. Naturally, during my corporate tenure, I made networking connections in the real estate industry – some of which became friends of mine (I was in banking for half of my corporate career) and also connected with successful Realtors via social media! I took my Realtor exam, passed on the first attempt and they all welcomed me with open arms! My success in real estate is thanks to God’s grace, incredible connections, and also my referral partners who range from family and friends, fellow alumni (high school and college) to vendor partners, to high profile individuals – I have such an incredible tribe of individuals who are kind and thoughtful enough to pass my name/my business along to anyone they meet!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
A smooth road? Far from it- I wish! I’m a wife to my amazing husband Chris and a Mom of two beautiful and incredible daughters (Jordyn and Chelsea) who just so happens to run a thriving real estate business. I always tell people that through my years of learning how to maneuver through managing and supporting my family AND my business, I’ve become an “intermediate-level juggler ” (not a master juggler … yet!) – I try my best to make sure that the porcelain balls that I juggle (my family) are supported and stay in the juggling cycle if I drop any of the plastic balls (my business, hobbies, exercise) – well plastic balls won’t break! I pause, pick them up and keep on juggling. I used to stress myself out trying to please everyone- family, clients, business partners that I would be completely overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted. At the end of the day, I’ve realized that the system is and never will be perfect, and there will never be a perfect balance of life to business. With that being said, although my family comes first, I recognized that I needed to establish systems for my business and quickly. Lisa Bice & Associates now has an efficient and very effective support system so that our clients are still cared for and loved on – they never miss a beat and receive an exceptional experience during and after their road to homeownership and/or real estate investing! Because of our systems, our network of polished professionals, and our affiliations, we’re able to service clients’ real estate goals worldwide.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Lisa Bice & Associates – we’re a collection of real estate professionals that include vendors, lenders, inspectors, contractors, assistants and coordinators who all support our mutual clients on their road to achieving their real estate goals. Whether that’s selling their residential home to downsize, buying/leasing commercial space, purchasing their upgraded luxurious home because of a growing family or buying a new home just because – we hold their hand every step of the way. Every professional within my network prides themselves on providing exceptional service to our clients, and we always ask if there is an area of opportunity with our clients – while we provide custom service offerings for our various clientele, we ask for areas of opportunity so that we can successfully fulfill the needs of all. Our mission is to close the wealth gap and to assist our clients with achieving the highest net worth possible with hopes that they in turn will create wealth for generations to come. As a colleague to my peers, I thoroughly enjoy supporting my fellow real estate experts however that may be – whether it’s collaborating when necessary, mentoring when there’s a need, supporting them through growth- I enjoy it all! I thoroughly enjoy doing what I have the opportunity to do everyday!

What were you like growing up?
I was quiet at times (not anymore!), pleasant, loved to read, I loved being around my family, celebrating special events and socializing with friends! I loved dresses and all things fancy, however, you could easily catch me riding my bike down the street or roller skating with my hair blowing in the wind! Multifaceted, but gentle would be a great way to describe me while growing up.
