Today we’d like to introduce you to Lloyd Murphy.
Lloyd, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a professional Life Coach and motivational speaker. I have a passion for helping others as much as I can. I’m here to facilitate growth and change. When I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Sociology with focus of Social Change and Organization, I knew I wanted to do something to help others achieve their goals. I then went to the Healing Arts Academy where I obtain my Life coach certification diploma and months after I bought my LLC. Soon after receiving my certification and LLC I begin networking to obtain booking and clients. I have spoke at different organizations and events. Today, I am still speaking at organizations and events and trying to expand my brand even more, as well as attract new clients. I have a very diverse educational background and I am willing to share my knowledge and skillset with you all.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well, as the saying goes we have our good days and our bad days, but by the grace of God each year I go much further. The struggles has been not giving up on your dreams because there are moments when you ask yourself if it is really worth, it or would I ever make any progress. I have learned to never give up and trust in the Lord Jesus no matter what comes or goes and to work on my craft each day because sooner or later it will pay off. To anyone struggling just remember trust and believe in yourself and the awesome Lord above.
Please tell us about First Believe You Can.
My business name is call “First Believe You Can” (F.B.Y.C) and I am a Faith based Company. Here we provide life coaching services as well as speaking services. Our mission is to connect with clients and build a working relationship to assist them in developing the personal skills that promote “Self-empowerment” and “Self-Confidence.” First Believe You Can is known for helping people reach their personal goals and motivating different organizations and companies. I am most proud of purchasing my LLC and being able to get a few bookings to help others obtain their dreams. What sets me apart from others is that I’m not afraid to be transparent and connect with my clients. I am very passionate about my craft and I am a man of Faith. I am confident and willing to help others reach their goals as much as I can.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I consider myself as a cool, calm, collective, and friendly guy. I always like to help others and to do the right things. As a child, I stayed out of trouble and my parents taught me so much naturally as well as spiritually. I played basketball throughout high school and college. I am a very friendly and encouraging individual. My parents were big on education and all my sisters graduated from high school and college so I had no choice but to obtain my degrees as well. My personal interest are reading, movies, family time, church, working out, going out to eat, and museums.
