Today we’d like to introduce you to Lori Radigan.
After spending 20 years in corporate life, Lori aimed to start a business that made the busy life, simpler. She chose the name “Pura Vida” (a term popular in Costa Rica, meaning “Pure Life”) because she felt that life is so precious yet often too hectic. With so going on in the average person’s day, the laundry is the last thing that most want to worry about. Lori started Pura Vida Laundry Services, a full-service laundry facility that does pick-up and delivery, but also services drop-off orders.
The facility is also a full-service laundromat, but is a new kind of laundromat. Pura Vida has kindles for the kids (or big kids), as well as big screen TVs with news and sports and kids shows. Plentiful seating, good music playing and a relaxing environment. The goal is to offer more to the customers by being a different kind of laundromat that is clean, fun and relaxing for you to do individuals to do their laundry.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
When we first started out we had surprisingly a fair amount of calls coming in. We had to learn to quickly scale to customer demand. We were able to ramp pretty quickly and handle the challenges, which made us stronger in the long run!
Establishing the physical business at the laundromat proved to be challenging in obtaining needed approvals from governmental bodies and required considerable capital expenditure, some of which was unplanned. Ensuring we had liquid funding as well as having patience was a must. We had both and it paid off as we are now up and running!

We offer pick-up and delivery laundry services across metro Atlanta. We pick-up the laundry at both commercial and residential locations and return it to the doorstep as agreed. We service large and small companies such as hotels and colleges, restaurants, etc. as well as pick-up from busy families. Our aim is to service all types of companies and families that have a need for laundry service. Our service is second to none, folded very neatly and returned with 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
We have a self-service laundromat in Tucker, GA that aims at being more than just a laundromat, but offers a relaxing, fun environment to “take a load off”. Our washers and dryers are the largest in the area and work at a 200g rotational force for maximum cleaning power.
We also offer dry cleaning, drop-off wash, dry, fold services and handle large items.
