Today we’d like to introduce you to Louie Mack.
Louie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began writing music as a child in Philadelphia. Always being aware of my passion for music, I began to understand how much of my life music had impacted. I’ve realized as I’ve gotten older that music is a tool to connect with others and allow creatives to be heard. With my desire to express myself and reach my highest potential, I started to understand how much I could truly accomplish through music. Not only for myself, but for others as well. That mindset existing on the level of supporting my family, as well as giving a voice to the voiceless where I come from. I felt I could truly use such an opportunity to speak up: not only for myself but for those who could not. I decided to move my journey to Atlanta and expand my network throughout the industry. Since relocating, I have grown a natural following within ATL and continuously expanded my following home in Philadelphia. While balancing a full-time music career and CEO position of my own entertainment industry, I am also a college student seeking a degree. The duality plays a part into my time management, as well as my unmatched desire to succeed considering all factors and variables that have led me to this point. This is truly the beginning of Louie Mack.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, the road has not been smooth whatsoever. From being unsure of my status as a student, which essentially was my route to getting to Atlanta, to not having much money and not wanting to call for help on something I felt was my path. The road as an artist and as an entrepreneur are challenging enough as there is no steady income and no guarantee of stability. However, as of yet, there is no challenge I haven’t overcome as I am here today about to release my EP, The Storm Before the Calm.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am Louie Mack, a well-rounded artist who connects with the people through genuine experience. In my music, I speak about things I’ve dealt with personally, things I’ve seen, or know about, or even things I’ve watched others go through and try to put myself in their shoes. I find inspiration from all different places and I think keeping that balance is what usually makes listeners gravitate toward my music. I can relate to people from different places on different subjects and that’s what’s real. Thats what the people want to hear. I am often known for my passion. No matter what message I am aiming to get across, I want it to be sincere and felt by the receiver.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Genuineness. If I don’t like it or it doesn’t represent me in some way, I don’t go through with it. At the end of the day, I have to be ok with what I release as a representation of myself and what that will look like on my legacy. I’ll always be true to myself.
