Today we’d like to introduce you to Luh Yeti.
Luh, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started rapping at 16 back when I was at yca. During that time, I had a lot of free time to myself. So to make the time fly past, I use to write in my notepad that was actually made for to write letters to my loved ones while I was in solitary. One day I made this hook and started beating on the locker, the beat caught my bumpmate attention with the hook I had written down. About 2 minutes later, I had everybody turn like if I was my own concert. One of my closest friends told me to go all the way with the rap, and ever since then, I’ve been full throttle. So when I dropped my very first single “Dasani” I’ve been getting nothing but loved.
Has it been a smooth road?
In obstacles and challenges, this has been a roller coaster. There’s really not a blueprint on trying to become successful in the music industry while juggling an everyday lifestyle. From being kicked out my moms and relocating to Alabama with my grandma, I realized patience, dedication and determination are key factors that have played a vital role on this ride called life. Dropping out of high school trying to find a job seems to be a dead-end for me. I went from stealing to anything I can get my hands on and realized very quickly that lifestyle wasn’t for me.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I rap, but my music is most definitely different from a lot of rappers you hear today. When you hear my music, it automatically puts you in a good vibe. From storytelling to just vibing, my music is one of a kind.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The hardest rapper and a philanthropist to my city and community I was raised from.
