Today we’d like to introduce you to Madox Dorsey and Gabby Leaphart.
Gabby & Madi have been making their mark on the industry since the tender age of eight years old. Prior to forming the new duo GabbyandMadiMusic – they began singing together in a group called Pink Heart. While in “Pink Heart” they had a song played regularly on Disney radio called “Super Cali.” They also nailed an episode of “Bring It” on the Lifetime Television network; and had a song premiere on the show called “Strong” – which can be seen on YouTube. Their music overall has over 45M on YouTube views.
GabbyandMadi Music hit the ground running in late 2018 – as the girls were seeking more autonomy and creative control along with professional growth. In early Feb 2019 -they released their first song as a duo on YouTube called “We Ain’t Going Nowhere” paying homage to their loyal fans. That was soon followed by their Hit song “Foot On the Gas” Which is being played in rotation on BET JAMS & Nick Music – along with that, it can be heard across the country on the radio stations from San Francisco to NYC. A new release called “I like it” is being played on the radio in Japan on R and B Source.

Their goal is to write and perform music that is age appropriate for their younger followers and their peers! We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The industry is competitive by nature – some challenges have been not truly understanding the business aspect of the industry. As kids, we enjoy performing and entertaining but a lot of hard work goes into preparing for a show. For instance, we spend a lot of time training – so we’re homeschooled. This allows us to have more flexible training schedules. However, it changes how we’re able to socialize with our peers and friends. We have to plan more intentionally to spend time with friends and hang out w/ them on weekends.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the GabbyandMadiMusic story. Tell us more about it.
GabbyandMadiMusic – are is a young pop/urban duo based out of Atlanta, Ga. They are 14 and 15-year-olds that are blazing the music and entertainment industry. These young bubbly – yet precocious girls are making music everyone can listen to and bop to. They specialize in lyrical content that is clean yet relevant. They are proud to write and perform music that all people can relate to. What sets them apart from others is that they have the artist training, dedication, determination, and development to catapult them to the top. Along with that, they are managed by one of the most respected and intelligent management teams in the industry. Combined, they have the true recipe for success!!!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Not necessarily luck, but God has been good to both Gabi and Madi – their dedicated work ethic and bubbly personalities lend a hand to their success as well. Combine that with their charismatic personalities and meeting the right people at the right time and voila, you have GABBY&MADI!!! Their God brought them together with their manager Dorian Washington – In this industry, luck plays its role… it’s very competitive and there’s lots of unheard talent out there!!!
