Maggie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m the owner of Opulence Spray Tan Club. I started this company with a personal goal to promote a healthy, convenient, and beautiful tan that allows people to feel confident about their appearance.
Our solution is Eco-certified, 100% Vegan, Gluten Free, Paraben Free, No after -scent and Never orange or streaky.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I feel anytime you’re starting a brand new business it’s never easy. There are a lot of lows initially and a few highs lol. I’m a firm believer that if you put yourself in uncomfortable situations then your constantly growing and evolving. To say I was uncomfortable cold calling and gorilla marketing is an understatement. I also believe that you don’t just get lucky. hard work pays off. With that being said I clearly remember driving around in my car in the metro Atlanta area pounding the pavement i.e. gorilla marketing. I was walking into nails salons, hair salons, Dr’s offices, spas leaving my menu cards and business cards. I remember leaving my menu cards at a few nail shops and I’d go back a few weeks later to check on them to see that there were Chinese menus on top of my menu cards. I literally felt so defeated, and wondered how am I going to do this? How am I going to get more clients and get people to find out about me. There has got to be a better way..
That’s when I got into the right nitch of people and started networking doing various things in Atlanta , that eventually kept building and building.
It is all about relationships and culturing those relationships and building upon them.
I have the most amazing clients and many have become a big part of my life and are not only clients but now friends.
You have to understand spray tanning is a very personal service and intimate, which is another reason why mobile is much less intimidating for clients. Think about it I am coming into your home so its your comfort zone.
