Today we’d like to introduce you to Sweta Gajjar.
Sweta, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Always had a dream to be an artist where I can blossom my ability. In 2014, I joined the industrial makeup academy in Atlanta, Ga and became a certified makeup artist. Started my path working as a freelance artist. Worked in short film, pageant and fashion show.
Fortunately, I was reached by Frances Neyra Claudio (high fashion photographer) from SCAD. As an emerging artist, last four years has been very successful. I was able to exceed each client expectations and provide the best transformation.
Has it been a smooth road?
My biggest change was the work-life balance during my first initial stage becoming an artist.
As married for 17 years and being a mom of two lovely sons (11-year-old and 5-year-old) had difficulty school schedules, managing kids activities and putting my schedule in line with it.
Also faced language barriers, especially when I was in class understanding makeup language, working with student co-artist.

As a makeup and hair artist, I love watching transformation on my clients. I enjoy when women feel confident on their best day of her life. My goal is very simple, bringing inner beauty out by makeup and hairstyle.
I specialize in South Asian brides makeup and hairstyles. Also, Provide services for bride family needs as well as groom family needs. Delivering what the client wants and providing more than client expectations is the key factor of my business success.
Client Satisfaction is the moto for me and my company.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I have been residing in Atlanta for over 13 years.
As a makeup artist, there are a lot more competition in the last three years, but there is also a big demand for South Asian makeup artist.
As a starter, don’t be discouraged because you will get an opportunity to shine and make your mark as an artist. Let your work set you aside from others.
