Meet Marc Arnett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marc Arnett.

Hi Marc, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My mission in life is to empower students. I wanted to be who I needed when I was growing up. I was born and raised in Americus, GA. As a black kid in rural Georgia, I quickly learned that there was an unequal playing field for boys and girls who looked like me. I worked hard and connected with some great mentors along the way and with the support of my family went to college. It was my collegiate experience that opened my eyes to the possibilities for better. Through all of my years of experience, I started pouring back into the lives of youth to help them realize those same possibilities and opportunities for the better. As a speaker, author and teacher, I utilize my time, talents and treasures to help enrich the lives of youth in our communities.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been far from smooth. I’ve overcome obstacles in various shapes, forms and fashions. I grew up in poverty in rural Georgia, dealt with mental health issues in my family, struggled through the loss of loved ones and so many others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I utilize my time, talents and treasures to help students see better for themselves in this world. I help students write their own stories for their lives.

I offer services as a motivational speaker, workshop facilitator, and individual mentoring.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is when you maximize your time, talents, and treasure for the greater good of humanity or those you serve.
