After practicing law for 15 years, Marc Morrison started Animal Land Pet Movers.
Animal Land is now one of the premier pet relocation services providing services for companies such as Coca Cola, Home Depot, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft and Google.
Animal Land really enjoys helping people get their companion animals to their new location. They specialize in foreign and hard to reach locations.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As with any business there were fits and starts. Early on we really leveraged the internet. The downturn of 2009 certainly took its toll however we emerged to be stronger.
Animal Land Pet Movers – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Far and away our service sets us apart from other pet moving services. Dana Fanning, our Senior Pet Move Counselor was voted Service Provider of the Year last year.
We truly treat each pet as if it were our own and make sure that all international regulations are taken care of. We are really proud of our testimonials as it shows all of the folks we have helped.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
We are proudest of the moves we have accomplished where our clients have said that other companies told them it couldn’t be done.
We moved 17 pets from Portland, OR to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We moved 4 chihuahuas from Mauritius to the Bahamas and even a couple of dogs from New York to Macau which included a private helicopter ride.
We have several high-profile clients and that is always fun.
