Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcelo Lopez.
Hi Marcelo, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I began to fall in love with art at a very early age. Since I happily lived with very influential people of my country, Peru, who during my young career are my greatest influences, these are Susana Baca and Pedro Suarez-Vertiz.
I participated in films and theaters as a supporting actor from 10-14 years old, but as I was learning I loved what is behind every scene, the direction, the recording, colorization and graphic design is what attracted me.
After starting my freelance career at the age of 15, I always had the desire to eventually come to the United States to realize my true potential and study the career of my dreams. In my last year of high school my father suffered from COVID and then a heart attack (which to this day I’m surprised he survived that), due to that big event my dreams were getting further and further away, we owed money to the school so my certificate which gave me the opportunity to study was withheld.
My dad knew what my dream was and knew that I had been longing for it for many years. And with what little he had left and with his poor health, he made the decision to trust me and him to move to the United States, no matter what it took.
I remember the moment when I set foot in Atlanta with the mentality of finding a way to live there with only $200 in my pocket between me and my dad. And after many months, hard work and injuries. We were able to fulfill our dreams.
I met Tiziano and an Elias ‘’El Bam’’ Herrera, who, surprised by my skills, trusted me with their projects and gave me the confidence to develop my own brand.
Today I have Spira Studios, a production company and agency for emerging Latin artists who do not have a team, we help with the production of events, videos, marketing strategies and more. Having a reputation of having reached millions of views on all social networks, having created more than 5 official videos, and having helped our artists to have collaborations with brands such as RedBull.
My second current brand is GHITIS, the first urban chic brand, which has 2 models as of today and collaborations with big brands and artists of the Latin urban scene such as jBalvin, Akappellah, and more.
Finally I have my personal brand, in @marshh.jpg I am developing my brand as an artist and creative director, I like that people and projects count on me and my vision.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I had my problems, for many years I had a lot of insecurity and mistrust of myself due to situations I experienced as a child such as bullying, but I always felt blessed. At the same time what I lived with my father shocked my family a lot, that happened in 2021 and I can only say a few months ago that the chapter has been erased.
Even though I always felt that everything that happened to me was bad, I knew that eventually everything I set my mind to was going to be accomplished, and God gave me the best talent which is perseverance and discipline. If I had not been strong in those moments I would not be where I am now, there are even times when I am grateful for every good and bad chapter I have lived through, because I learned lessons that help me to be who I am.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m primarily a Creative Director and Multimedia Creator although I do a little bit of everything. I am known for being the definition of a multi-tasking person.
You need a video, I can make it for you, I have the knowledge and have studied that to make the best video possible
You need a photo shoot, same thing.
Create a design for a hoodie, same thing.
Anything that has to do with creation or creativity, I can do it and I will do it in the best possible quality.
What I am most proud of besides my family and friends is how far I have come, in only 2 years in the United States I have been able to collaborate with brands that in the past I thought I might not even get to. I met Latin American idols like Tony Succar, JBalvin, Sael, Akappellah, collaborated with brands that I idolize like RedBull, FIFA and Rich Music. And all this in just the beginning of my career, I still have a long way to go.
I think what sets me apart from my perseverance is my curiosity, you will never see me standing still, I’m always going to ask questions and investigate in depth what I want to know. I go to courses, I go to new places, I always refresh my mind with a new hobby.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
You can support me or connect with me on my instagram www.instagram.com/marshh.jpg , and, as my main mission today says, support local talent and art, help them grow because their work and opportunities depend a lot on the public.
