Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcus Martin.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Since I was three years old, I always had an artistic mind. I have been drawing since I was three, up and till my sophomore year in high school. Then I found YouTube. But between my sophomore year and before doing YouTube, I tried different types of sports; never stuck with it.
Then one day after that, I made some videos for my friends and family to see on YouTube. THEN ONE DAY, I made a reaction video to a movie trailer called “Paranormal Activity 3”. Ever since that one reaction, people have wanted more and more reactions, and that’s what I am known for now (almost a decade later). But NOW, I found acting, and I love it! I want to go far in the acting world. I have been in several short films, a music video, small projects and a recent (SAG) feature film (in which I had the lead role in) called “The Price to Pay”. I am currently still doing YouTube and acting.
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road lol. Because of what I am trying to accomplish in life as far as acting and YouTube. I have lost friends, social life is pretty much gone, people using me, changing locations (from Maryland to Georgia). Probably one of the biggest challenges would have to be living on my own (currently) with bills, keeping up with my car and having a regular 9-5 job.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
Gattor Martin is my company name on YouTube. I make different types of videos, but I specialize in ‘reaction’ videos (which is also what I am known for). What I am most proud of is the fact that I have something for people to enjoy by themselves, with there partner, friends or family. What makes me so different is that I am very relatable, I keep real and raw, I tell it like it is, I’m consistent, naturally funny, and it feels like you’re watching the video with me (said some of my fans).
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Producing, directing and writing my own short and feature films for people to see on YouTube, cinemas, Netflix, etc. And just getting my name out their as much as I can, and reaching as many people as I can.
