Mariame, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am originally from the Ivory Coast located in West Africa. I moved to the United States when I was about 18 so I can go to College. I am a product formulator and Clinical skincare professional. Two years ago, I created a skincare line called Marimadskinrx, I wanted to create a clinical grade line that caters to almost every skin issues. After the success of the skincare company, I decided to open a spa Called Marimad Luxury Spa located in Sandy Springs, Ga. My Goal is to be the best that I can be, empower young girls and give back to the community as much as I can.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It wasn’t always a smooth road especially as a young woman people always try to take advantage, I definitely learned a lot and I am grateful for the experience.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My future plan is to of course expand and open more spas but most importantly create a non-profit organization that will help and empower young girls.
