Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Hawks.
Taylor, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Growing up, my mother was a fitness model and personal trainer so I was always in the gym! I always worked very hard however I hadn’t yet discovered my passion for fitness and nutrition. I gained a lot of weight my first two years of college and landed myself in a terrible state of health physically and mentally. I started getting back in the gym and saw what my body was capable of and became OBSESSED! I found motivation mainly from myself, but also other fitness models on social media. They used their platform to inspire and motivate girls all over the world and I decided I wanted to motivate women from every platform possible!! I started studying and became a personal trainer but also designed workout programs and meal plans to be available online so I could reach as many women and men as possible. I fell in love with helping people reach their goals. Now, nothing inspires me more than seeing people turn their dreams into realities.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. In the beginning, I used to doubt myself. It was hard as a young woman to take the negative comments and social media bullying.. it used to hold me back! As I have grown and matured, I have learned how to use the negativity as fuel for the fire that burns within! I feel confident moving forward and I know that nothing is unattainable. I’m just a small girl from Marietta, Georgia but I know I can make a HUGE difference in the world.
What’s the hardest part of your job?
I’m not sure that I can consider any part of my job “hard”. I love it all too much for it to ever be defined by myself as hard. If I had to choose, the most challenging part was creating all of my workout programs during the beginning phase. Although I know what I am doing, I am a perfectionist and was very hard on myself. I strive to make sure that my clients receive only the best of my work.
What are you striving for, what criteria or markers have you set as indicators of success?
I don’t have any markers that I am looking for within myself to define success. I see my success in my clients when they reach their goals and better their lives. Every mile marker they reach is a mile marker for myself. As long as I am inspiring others and helping my clients become the best versions of themselves, I am continuously successful.
What are your plans for the future?
My plan is to increase the amount of people I am able to reach. I am using every platform possible to ensure that everyone who needs my help has access to me. I want to change the world- that is the biggest change that is coming. I want everyone in the world to be as healthy, happy, and at peace with themselves as possible.
