Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Blessed.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Mark. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. I’ve been creating art since third grade, I went to The Cleveland Institute of Art for Fine Art/Drawing major for one year, I’ve learned a lot from that experience. Then, I created a clothing brand Instagrams: @strugleofficialclothing and pushed it for 3-4 years, I’ve had a chance to send clothing to Cleveland local artist @doeboy and #Atlanta Local artist @richthekid and the @migos, shortly after I place my brand under reconstruction to figure out how to back my business financially, then I figured I could teach my self how to do tattoos in order to create capital for my clothing business. I went on YouTube to learn how to tattoo and I worked on honeydew Mellon for two weeks for practice. Within two weeks, I was tattooing on real skin. One month after that, I received the opportunity to become a tattoo apprentice at @royalink (Cleveland Local Tattoo Shop), I received my tattoo apprenticeship certificate within nine months and two weeks, and I started to search for better opportunities outside of the states. I met @miyabaliey on Instagram and expressed my visions with him, he told me about his vision for @petersstreetstation and told me he wanted me to be apart of his vision. I took a trip to Atlanta, GA to meet Miya and to secure my position. Then, within one year, I moved to ATL to chase the opportunity that presented itself. I have been helping build @petersstreetstation for one year solid and within that time frame, I gained my own private tattoo studio to generate money for survival while I help build. Since I been in Atlanta, I’ve tattooed multiple people, created a lot of commissioned jobs for my self and built my name up. I was blessed with the opportunity to create graffiti art and hand-painted signs for @2chainz and @whoissnoop over at @escobaratlanta and @cravelittle5points. I’m very excited to see what’s next for me in Atlanta, GA.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This road hasn’t been smooth at all, I came to Atlanta with a specific plan on survival and elevation. All my plans have failed and the universe created new plans for me. I’ve learned that you can’t control everything so now I just go with the flow of things. Self Confidence and faith have been my motivation in Atlanta.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I’ve learned to find patience, self-confidence, and self-love. This journey taught me how to control my emotions and follow my gut feeling.
