Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Myette.
Mark, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a Strengths / Possibilities Coach, founding principal of ECC, Inc., author, and blogger.
My core belief is EVERYONE is a gift! I create trusted, advocacy-based relationships where my clients achieve optimum performance based on gifts / talents / strengths. I work with teams to assess their teams from a GIFTS / TALENTS / STRENGTHS perspective. My presentations / workshops are woven with positive and inspiring messages.
I spent 24+ years within Fortune 500 companies with a concentration in talent development. I have my BA from Boston University. MBA from Emory University, CPLP (2009-2015) from the Association of Talent Development and a certified coach with Gallup and TotalSDI.
On a personal note: I live in Morningside. Married 24 years. Two children 13 and 14 and an elder at my Church – First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. Last, I am a serial volunteer – volunteering 25% of my time to non-profits focused on the improvement of peoples’ lives.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a journey! Like a trip cross the Atlantic on an airplane. Some periods of turbulence but my seat belt is fastened!

Since 1989, I have conducted 1000’s of career / performance assessments, developed numerous training / development programs and facilitated 1000’s of training sessions. To understand my “why”, you need to understand my “wiring” (or should I say “WHY-ering”?).
One of my favorite philosophies is around the concept of karma…sowing positive seeds that will – over time – produce positive outcomes! This is why I’m passionate about giving back, volunteering, teaching, doing my part to leave the world in a better place AND helping people see things in themselves or the world they may not yet see
This also explains why, since I launched my business in 2012, I have focused on 1-on-1 gifts coaching. I have provided 100’s and 100’s of hours of pro-bono gifts coaching and assessments for those in need.
The outcomes from the gifts coaching has provided my clients clarity, purpose, and a strategic plan for their go-forward approach to their careers and life.
