Markeye began his floral career in 2007, when an opportunity to work alongside his aunt at her flower shop, “Flowers By Andrea”, presented itself. During his time there, he learned the ins and outs of the floral business and it became his greatest passion in life. With all the proper training, self-preservation and dedication he received the knowledge of the floral business. Markeye was ready to start and succeed in his own business.
As a result, Mikells Florist was established in May of 2010 in Albany, Georgia. Mikells Florist is recognized for creating exquisite arrangements to fit the occasion of the customer. At Mikells Florist we are dedicated to bringing you the best quality of flowers, exceptional customer service, and unique floral designs.

Has it been a smooth road?
No new business venture is smooth. A lot of the business is learning how to network and offer services that the public need and appreciate. A big struggle is ascribing for perfection. I usually judge things as harsh as possible because I want the best for my customers. I always have to relay that to the vendors I use for supplies; it can come off a little aggressive, but I pride myself on the highest quality of flowers. The business is unpredictable. knowing what is more convenient to use and in style is imperative.

I’m known personally and professionally for the standards I withhold. I believe that luxury should be standard. No matter the cost, I provide high-quality materials in every arrangement.

I love Atlanta, Georgia. I was born and raised in Albany, Georgia. I enjoy how diverse the state is. I do feel like the economy can be better.
