Meet Marquis Jones of Atlanta, Ga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquis Jones.

Hi Marquis, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
QUISBANDZ, was born and raised in Champaign, Illinois in 2001. A small but dangerous city about an hour outside of Chicago. After a couple of delays, his parents felt the need to move to Atlanta, Georgia. QUISBANDZ aka Quis went straight into middle school in Georgia, finding that everything was much slower than his Illinois life. Quis, was brought up listening to his older brother and cousins always rapping/singing, so it became a big part of his life quickly. Fast forward a few years where the young rap star was in High School going down the wrong path, he decided that there must be changes in his life for his siblings sake. Quis, focused on his music until one day a friend introduced him to BJM . Shortly after joining the BJM Management team, Quis dropped his singles “Deeply”, “Sane”, and “No Help”. Then shortly after things did not work well with BJM Management he went completely independent with no management nor team behind him. Continuing pushing his career alone, Quis dropped numerous of singles along with an EP and Mixtapes, with “Time Will Tell” being the latest one in 2025. We can only imagine how much more music to expect from this upcoming rap sensation. Please stay tune as this story about QUISBANDZ unfolds in the days to come.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Most struggles come from dealing with real life problems such as losing loved ones to death along with some being incarcerated. I’ve fell out with my manager/management company, lost motivation for music several times, relationship problems, fell out with music partners/rap groups, etc.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an artist first, I make hip-hop/rap music with more of a melodic flow and im also an audio engineer and videographer. What sets me apart from others is i am a one man band. I do everything myself even behind the scenes work.
