Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquis Stewart.
Hi Marquis, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am Marquis Alexander Stewart aka Mar Mar. I am 27 born and raised in St.Louis MO. I am the youngest of five, Coming from a very supportive and Loving Family. When I was 7 & 11, I had endured traumatic situations in which I was Victimized of Molestation from a Woman and Girl. The Girl was my friend at the time mom at the age of 7 and 11 a friend of the family brother in which I was 11. On top of being bullied Physically and Mentally as a child and just always feeling out of place. I Thank GOD for strengthening me and guiding me through. If it wasn’t for GOD and the love I had from my family, I would have been in a dark hole somewhere. As I got older, I really wanted to take a turn for the better in my life. I wanted to allow myself to know and see that no matter what I been through I could make whatever reality I wanted going forward. Not only did I do just that but I created a Non Profit Organization “Living Greatness By Alexander” to help others see that for themselves especially for the youth and teens. “Living Greatness by Alexander” Is Mentoring, Counseling and Empowerment to help those with troubled pasts create positivity with their lives and Make positivity their reality. It’s one thing talking about the change and what you’ve been through. It’s another when you’re acting on it and helping others from what you’ve been through.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Not only Being molested twice, Bullied and feeling lost in life at a young age, I had low self-esteem and didn’t believe in myself. I would say about the age of 9 or 10 it was so bad how I felt about myself to the point when I went to the restroom, I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror when washing my hands I would just look down because I was ashamed to look at myself from how I was treated and what people said about me. This went on until middle school around 7th or 8th grade. I did have a suicidal attempt back when I was 14 and it wasn’t successful in which I thank GOD and also asked for forgiveness for wanting to do such thing. Living at 27 now I see why everything has happened the way that it did. Not only have I built character and integrity but I also built a kingdom that is giving back and helping others from not going though situations like or similar if haven’t.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an Actor/Artist/Model & TV Personality. I have Been on two reality Shows “Build My Brand” and “Ambassador LA”. I have one that is in post-production that I am still filming for. I have two movies coming out “The Ramen” which is an action movie and I play “Smooth” who is a flamboyant Hairdresser and let me tell you it’s full of action and which I did my own stunts in. The movie will be in Select Theaters and On Amazon Prime December 22nd, 2022. The other Film is “Princess Cut” I play the role of “Jaden” and it’s another Action-Comedy I play alongside my wife “Misty” and we are Neighborhood bullies and we lose our diamonds that we stole and go after a family that found them and creates some troubled times. That will be out on Tubi, AllBlk, and Peacock. With both films, it’s an amazing cast and wonderful Directors / Producers and I am honored to be a part of the Creative Geniuses and ready for the world to witness the creativity as well. Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I would say a Surprising thing about me is I Love to be alone and to myself. This is because everyone is like you’re such a people person and life of the party. This is true and I just love people having fun and living it up, I am big on unity. Just know I feel so much more at peace when I am in my own domain being a couch potato. I love owning and having full control over my peace and happiness.
