Meet Marvin Daniels II of Thank God Daily in Snellville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marvin Daniels II.

Marvin, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a HEDIS Coordinator at Crosslinks Family Practice. On May 11th, I will be receiving my bachelors of science degree in Healthcare Management at Albany State University’s commencement ceremony. At the end of 2017 and rolling to the beginning of 2018, I broke my hand, caught a charge, my car got broken into and I lost important pieces of information. Those experiences geared me to find solace in the haphazard situations that life has to offer. I began to understand that, no matter how bad my life appears; there is always somebody who is at a lower state than me.

At the time, my producer (ArtyKane) would tweet “Thank God for another opportunity” everyday. I told him, that message resonated with me and I will create my own mantra which soon became, “Thank God daily.” I began by putting the sentence on hats and transitioned into t-shirts after finding a reliable t-shirt producer. Thank God daily is more than a brand or mantra. It is my literal lifestyle and I encourage every person to thank Him daily even in the pits of depression, self-doubt, and low self-esteem. I drop knowledge on my Twitter and Instagram for those who need it. I believe my words will heal a broken soul and guide people to God.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest obstacle that I have overcome was the loss of my father on Earth. In September of 2018, God called my father to come home after two months of battling cancer. God put me in a position where I was promoting a lifestyle that did not equate to the challenges that were presented before me. I thanked God daily despite my father’s condition and God revealed a lot on that journey. I learned to play piano, I learned that I taught my younger cousin how to walk, I gained more knowledge on mental and spiritual strength and how to accumulate it in the darkest times of life. I currently struggle with grieving but I constantly give advice to people who are in similar situations. It’s therapeutic when I can provide the answers that people need to find their peace. My inner peace comes from seeing others change their mindset on how they view their life. My goal is to convince people that when you thank God daily for every little thing, good or bad, your life will feel more guided because there would be an understanding that everything works out for the good of His people.

Thank God daily – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Thank God daily is a title I put towards all of my creative avenues. I paint pictures on canvases for people who want to see art come to life. I create clothing for those who life to wear what they represent. My biggest creative avenue is my music. I set myself apart from others by speaking on God and not being ashamed of who agrees or disagrees. I am most proud of the support from people who understand the meaning of Thank God daily. I love hearing how people use Thank God daily to apply it to their lives and how it helped them. I specialize in creating messages and giving a voice to those who feel they are not being heard. My drive is geared towards salvation and my gift is my voice. So, creating a message that leads people to God by using their voice is the perfect way to complete my mission here on Earth.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career is when I won “Beat it or Delete it” three nights in a row on the 107.9 radio station in Valdosta, Georgia. As I was accumulating wins, I realized who really supported me and who really wanted to see me do great in my musical endeavors.
