Mary, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Our wedding day was the happiest day of my life. It wasn’t perfect and knowing what I now know, I would do it all differently. Still, it was absolutely the Best Day Ever! I have never smiled so much or felt so complete.
In 1993 we purchased land and built our home in Ball Ground, Georgia. Through the years, my husband has lovingly landscaped the property and gained his greatest joy from sharing it. May 2016 marked the opening of The Greystone Estate as a wedding venue. What better way to share than with couples on the happiest day of their lives?
Our venue is “timeless” and reflects a “simple elegance” that is only enhanced by a bride’s personal touches. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching love stories begin here. Each couple has touched our hearts and each wedding reminds us of our own. I can’t think of a better way to grow old than witnessing new beginnings.
Has it been a smooth road?
We’re entrepreneurial and no stranger to business ownership, so creating an organizational structure and a marketing plan was easy compared to navigating the variety of social media platforms brides use! It was a daunting task for us to step in and learn how to become an active participant in the ever-changing world of social media.
We owe a great deal of gratitude to our web designer, MakeMeASite.net, and the talented photographers who shared their work with us, allowing us to share it with others. Now Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn are just another part of our lives. Regularly interacting with our brides, past, and future has become one of the most enjoyable things we get to do!

We’re known for our simple elegance, organization, and honesty.
We’re most proud when a couple chooses to share their wedding day with us. That decision is the beginning of a new friendship and we consider it an honor.
There are so many beautiful north Georgia venues, most of which are barns or vineyards. What sets us apart is that we are neither. We’ve always been drawn to warehouses and dreamed of renovating one in Atlanta or Chattanooga. We started with that concept then flooded the space with light and surrounded it with stone walls and meticulously landscaped grounds. We’re a unique option for brides looking in the north Georgia area.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Atlanta is the place to be! We’re growing and people are pouring in from all around the country. This is a great place to live and work.
With the influx of business and residents, we could benefit tremendously from a solution to our traffic problems. We lack the infrastructure of cities like Chicago and New York, so we need an enterprising Atlantan to think outside the box and come up with a miracle!
