Meet Marzena Trawinski

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marzena Trawinski.

Marzena, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My Real Estate career fell into my lap in 2009. I was renting a desk inside a real estate office in Greenpoint, Brooklyn NY while trying to grow my business as a translator and complete my degree in Business Management. One day the broker of the office asked me to assist his clients while he was stuck in traffic. I entertained the couple, found out what their needs were, made a few suggestions and within that first meeting they decided to rent an apartment through the brokerage. I quickly took my course, passed my exam and began working full time as a rental agent in Brooklyn NY. I enjoyed helping people this way.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, it has been smooth. I’ve learned a lot along the way and am extremely grateful for the experiences I’ve had as well as the relationships I built. Some of the struggles along the way included learning and staying on top of the constantly changing real estate market. Moving to Georgia in 2018 and transferring my license over has been an adjustment as well. I’m grateful for the handful of genuine people in my life who are always rooting for me!! Honestly, I look at struggles as lessons. Without them, we wouldn’t grow.

Please tell us about your business.
I am a licensed Real Estate Agent providing full service to the public in achieving their real estate goals. I am in the business of building relationships and helping others. I am the Co-founder and Team Leader for the Master Key Realty Team. Along with my savvy partner Christina Fernandez, we are growing a team of licensed agents throughout metro Atlanta to assist, educate and service clients in several different areas. Recently, I took on a role as an investor through my company Soldbymthomes LLC and am actively involved in purchasing distressed homes. I believe in truly helping others and pride myself in my work ethic and my reviews. My faith plays a big role in my motivation. I am truly passionate about helping others and bend over for my clients every day. At the end of the day, we only have one face, one name and I strive for mine to be remembered for the right reasons. It’s satisfying to know that I’ve played a small role in someone’s life when they achieve their goal or dream come true. It’s a very special feeling!

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment was becoming an owner of two companies that are equally active and growing. Also, buying my first flip! My other proud moment is seeing videos in my phone that my seven year old daughter Maya records here and there when I’m not watching, promoting her mom in real estate. This warms my heart.

Of course, I always pride myself in my reviews and repeat business. I always wondered how some agents live off of referral business. Quickly I’ve learned that if you approach people the right way, nurture relationships, educate clients on their options and deliver promised results, people begin to trust you and the process. It’s all about the approach in life. Just be you, be honest, be true to your word and stick with your gut feeling on anything you do! What’s meant for you, will be for you.
