Today we’d like to introduce you to Mazy “Nikki” Roland.
Mazy “Nikki”, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After a season-ending injury during a high school sport, I decided to pick up a camera to pass the time. I ended up falling in love with the art of capturing a photo/video and holding it still in time. Over the years I’ve made connections and friendships that I never would have gotten without being a part of the creative community. As time goes on, I continue to get better & grow as an independent artist.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The path I’ve taken to get where I am today was definitely not easy but with the help of God, my family, and friends I managed. Well into my career as a content creator I lost my biological mother to covid-19. That impacted me in a huge way but also made me more motivated to become as successful as possible. Through any and everything, I know my family and god always have my back.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m mainly known for my widespread of photography specifically sports photography. I personally consider myself a Cinematic Artist. I love dramatic and unique angles/shots. Anything that can be done media-wise, I can & will do though. From pictures to videos to edits, posters, and more. I truly love the work I do and don’t mind spending the countless hours editing and creating the best quality work.
What matters most to you? Why?
My family is a big part of who I am. They are the people who pushed me to do what I want to do and go for whatever I believe in. My sister & Older cousin are my biggest role models because they always get it done, regardless of the situation.
