Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
During the pandemic, I’ve always wanted to open a business. I called around to a couple of my close friends and we started talking about sex toys. We all said I should start a sex toy line and from that day forward at the beginning on August, I had came up with a name and reached out to my brother to make my logo. From there, my business had blown up so much on Twitter and Instagram. I can’t lie I was very nervous and scared but my sisters told me “scared money don’t make money”. I was very excited and proud of myself on how I started with just the idea to a full-blown online store. I am currently going on two years in my business and it has been fun and adventurous.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Opening a business is never a smooth road, there is always gonna be a roadblock. The most important thing is sticking with your plan and always creating new ones. My biggest struggle was getting the shipments in on time and having to explain to customers why their items haven’t arrived.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am currently a Nurse who travels to clients who need skilled nursing. How I got into my profession is taking care of my family members when they were sick and them pushing me into being a nurse. I have been in the medical field for over nine years and I love it. My profession actually helps educate my customers especially when using toys and how to clean them along with using them properly.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Networking was the best thing for my business. You literally learn everything you need to know by networking with other people. Networking is giving you opportunities to collaborate and connect.
