Meet Mia Renee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia Renee.

Mia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m an upcoming model in Atlanta. I started my own photography business three years ago, called ‘Magical Kreations’. I was in love with it at first, until I decided that I wanted to model and be in front of the camera instead. I have been modeling for about a year now. I’m also in the Army and I actually met my manager/photographer while being on orders in Texas. We have been making magic ever since we started working together, LOL.

So far right now, I have been modeling for upcoming brands and working on building my portfolio and networking. I’m also going back to school for Visual Advertising and Brand Marketing. So in my future, I can invest in and own my own tattoo shop in Atlanta and sell my brand inside too!

Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely wasn’t a walk in the park for me, lol. I mean at first, it felt like a walk in the park. Not going to lie… I really thought it wouldn’t be that hard to just stand in front of a camera and pose. I was completely wrong. I got in front of the camera and kind of froze up lol. I was 100% shy!

My manager was literally like everything in one. She coached me through my first few shots and I eventually opened up and started feeling more comfortable and confident in myself.

I went through self-doubts. It was plenty of times that I wanted to just slow down and put it to the side. I just kept working and going to workshops to learn more. Support and constructive criticism really helped me a lot. I’m always open to learning new things that will help me prosper.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Mia Renee – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I don’t really have a business right now just a plan and goal. My future tattoo shop is what I’m really striving for. Right now, my modeling and doing YouTube is me, branding myself. I want people to know what kind of person I am & know what kind of vibe I have already before I open my shop. Going back to college and getting my B.A. is the first step to my new beginnings! I wanna have all the information and advice I can get when it comes to owning and investing in my own shop.

It’s a lot of tattoo artist that is really talented & just need a booth and some more clientele. I know how it feels to start from the bottom. It could get frustrating sometimes, so I just want to give back to my people of Atlanta. Giving people an artistic, creative and lit tattoo shop in my future.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and the least?
I love that Atlanta has diversity. Just about everyone in ATL is different and talented. Everybody has there own style and a creative mind and I love that. You can meet the most genuine and artistic people in Atlanta. Atlanta is just so live! It’ll be hard to stay in Atlanta and NOT love it.

And I strongly dislike Atlanta’s TRAFFIC!! I swear, lol. That is really my only downfall about my city.
