Meet Michael Bailey of Michael Bailey Commercial Realty (MBCRE)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Bailey.

Hi Michael, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After a 15-year career teaching high school and college literature in Clayton and South Fulton County I decided I needed a career change. I researched all the great opportunities the Atlanta Market offers and decided that real estate was a good choice based on income potential, flexibility, growth potential as well as personal freedom. I immediately gravitated to the commercial side of Real Estate and started my career with Coldwell Banker. By my third year I was a top 10 earner in a company with over 200 agents, and remained there until I started my own brokerage 3 years ago. Michael Bailey Commercial realty (MBCRE) currently has nearly 70 listings and is actively hiring new agents. The amazing business climate in Atlanta is a huge part of my success. Thank you Atlanta and the great state of Georgia!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Surprisingly smooth. The biggest struggle was actually pulling the trigger on making the career change because it was a pretty big gamble, but it sure paid off.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Michael Bailey Commercial Realty (MBCRE)?
Michael Bailey Commercial Realty offers the knowledge, scope and expertise of a large multinational firm combined with the personal attention and hands on approach of a boutique firm. We have specialists in virtually every area of commercial real estate including retail, land development, multifamily, Industrial and office. At any given time we have between 60 and 75 high quality listings for lease and for sale and are rapidly expanding

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
The biggest risk I took was walking away from a 15-year successful career in teaching with security and benefits to roll the dice in a completely different direction. Statistically speaking about 70% of people who start in commercial real estate fail Within the first 3 years. That was a pretty big risk but it worked out well.
