Meet Michael Moss of Big Man Culture in Mableton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Moss.

Michael, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Big Man Culture was started because of a need. The need was for Big Men to have a platform for everything XL; including fashion, lifestyle, business and culture. So we began to provide resources to Big Men so they could have a repository of information to use for their every day lives. That led to styling men and eventually making custom suits. The brand has now expanded into providing lifestyle resources and offerings that help the XL Man live what we affectionately call the “XL Lifestyle”.

Has it been a smooth road?
No business that strives to be great has a smooth road. From rebranding to second-guessing, to struggling to establish your message; the struggles will always be evident. One of our struggles in our early years was to relay our message of unity for the Big & Tall Community. Our importance in the fashion world was undervalued and our goal was to change it. That continues to be a struggle for other brands to see.

Please tell us about Big Man Culture. What should we know?
Big Man Culture is a Personal Style and Image consulting group for the BIG MAN. From its existence, the goal has been to help the “ergonomically challenged” find confidence, self-wealth and purpose through style & lifestyle. Although style and fashion are often used synonymously, fashion is a fad where style is for life. Big Man Culture strives to help our clients enhance their style; which in turn will transform their vision, future and confidence through one BIG experience!

This is what separates us from other companies because we understand the plight of the Big Man because we ARE Big Men!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, Atlanta is a great place to do business and we have many people who are interested in lifestyle and experiences. If someone was starting a business, I would tell them to appreciate the diversity of Atlanta and the business community. So continue to work on expanding that area of Atlanta.
