

Today we’d like to introduce you to Micheal Cuffie.
Micheal, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Over 18 years ago, one of my colleagues announced she was engaged and planning a wedding. Over a course of weeks, I noticed her excitement turn into frustration. I then offered to help her with some of her wedding planning. Before I knew it, I took over all of the planning. I loved resolving her issues, making recommendations and handling the nitty-gritty details. The best part was how happy she and her husband were at the end of their big day! Shortly thereafter, my other colleagues, friends and family members were asking me to be their wedding and event planner. For many years, event planning was simply a hobby but then it finally dawned on me… it didn’t have to be. It could one day develop into a business. Today I am the proud owner of All About Posh. Who knew it was really possible to make a career out of doing something that you truly love?!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Event planning and design is a saturated business which at times results in us being lost in the stock pile. Without a marketing team it can be very difficult to compete with bigger businesses that have a greater media presence. People tend to go with whom they are constantly seeing. Unless the clients have had an opportunity to meet us personally and see our work, they may not have a true sense of what we have to offer and the passion that drives us. Fortunately, our success has been through word of mouth because our work speaks for itself.

All About Posh is a premier full service wedding and event planning company based in Atlanta, Georgia. We offer planning and design for weddings, anniversaries, intimate dinner parties and other social events. We specialize in taking common spaces and transforming them into spaces designed with unparalleled elegance. We’ve planned and designed intimate events for less than 10 people and grand events to over 300 people. Regardless of the size of the event they are each handled equally with the upmost care. We are proud of our ability to remain true to the luxury brand we strive to maintain while ensuring that it meets the client’s bottom line. When planning events, it is not our goal to execute our own vision. It’s our goal to draw out our client’s innermost wants and needs while exceeding their expectations and that’s what sets us apart from others.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would have started my business many years ago. However, I am very satisfied with knowing that I’m right here where I’m supposed to be.
