Today we’d like to introduce you to Mickalya Spivey.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Mickalya. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
First, and foremost I’ve always wanted to be a fashion designer, but not any regular ole’ designer. I’ve always pictured myself as a fashion designer. This started in 2019 I started off as painting pants and/or clothing shoes etc. My brand “2TUFF” came from me calling myself “The Tough One” I was always the toughest but in the most humblest way. I also have a brand named “you<rare” which means I’ll rather be rare then like you, everyone has always told me I’m a very person or personality. You can never find another period.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road disregarding the haters and also people who don’t believe in you. There were times when I couldn’t think of any designs. Some days nothing came to my head to create. I was able to overcome it all, and better myself, encourage myself and perfect myself to be better then what I was.

2TUFF designs is a brand made from scratch, which means everything I design is basically made by hand no sewing machine, nothing mechanical, everything is handmade, hand-stitched. I specialize in stacked pants, freestyling, designing shoes, there’s really nothing I can’t do. I’m known for my creativity with my designs it’s basically things people have never seen before, I’m set apart from others because everything I do is front he top of my head literally all my designs I just sit and think of different things and put them together to become a masterpiece.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always an outstanding child. I was always great at everything.
