Today we’d like to introduce you to Mikael Amoré.
Hi Mikael, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from New England where I had my start in music early on with competing in American Juniors (the kid’s version of American Idol), New England Idol and Kidz Bop. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a dual degree in Mass Communication Studies and Textiles, Merchandising and Design. I moved to Atlanta to pursue music and social media marketing where the opportunities are more abundant than where I’m from. Now I’m in the process of releasing my anticipated debut EP. Besides music, I am a fashion blogger and wellness chef. I also am the Marketing & Social Media Manager for Persprie Sauna Studio where we have four locations in Buckhead, East Cobb, Sandy Springs & Virginia Highland.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The struggles along the way were moving to a new city where I didn’t know many people and not being connected in the industry. Starting over in a new city means you need to network with the right people to take your career to the next level.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m well-rounded in performing arts and culinary arts. My genre of music would live somewhere between R&B and Pop. I write about the struggles I’ve overcome such as heartache, mental health, and being able to conquer your demons and find the strength inside you.
I also launched a social media marketing company “Mikael Marketing” and my meal prep company “Meals by Mikael” while living in Atlanta.
My meal prep company specializes in vegan & pescatarian options for those who are looking to transition into a healthy lifestyle.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Good luck that has played to my advantage has been meeting clients and making connections in places that you least expect just by living in a Metropolitan City like Atlanta.
The downsides of starting your business are investing into ideas or strategies that don’t end up being successful and having to brainstorm your next move.
