Today we’d like to introduce you to Mikayla Byers.
Hi Mikayla, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Breezy Season, LLC is an evolving streetwear brand that believes in highlighting the importance of putting your creative abilities, skills, and confidence to use. It all started out with an orange hoodie that I was originally making for myself. So, I decided to bleach it and put my brand’s name on it. I posted it on my social media platforms, and it sold within a few hours. It’s been history ever since. I just want my brand to be notable and everlasting for the next generations to come.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has definitely NOT been a smooth road. After dealing with the lack of support, I still dwell on pursuing my calling. I also feel as if many people do not know about me or my brand yet. Fashion is something that is so near and dear to me to the point where I cannot leave it alone. I just have this sensational feeling and desire that I am going to be huge one day. I experience self-doubt sometimes, but I know it’s just me overthinking everything because I’m blessed with so many talents.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
With fashion design being my first love, I also dwell in graphic design, photography, videography, photo editing, video editing, and a musician. I grew up in a household of many talents so I feel as if I can do anything.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years I hope Breezy Season is one of the most thriving brands in the world, not just in the United States. I want to expand it into something that can make people feel like they have a prominent purpose. When someone supports my business, I want them to think of my clothing pieces as a part of me. I hope to shift the fashion industry in a positive way by showing others that it is possible to develop something from the ground up.
