Today we’d like to introduce you to Mila Merenkov.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I moved to the United States with my family when I was 18 years old. I began working at Kroger as a deli clerk, after just a few months I was promoted to the management position. I really enjoyed learning new things and come up with strategies for better sales. I was nominated an employee of the quarter award.
After working there for a year, I’ve decided that I want to try myself in a different field. I started working as a medical office receptionist when I was 20 years old. Again, I learned different tasks and was promoted to an office manager few years later. I worked at this office for 6 years and realized that it’s time to open my own office. In 2014 I partnered up with one of the doctors and opened a chiropractic clinic/medical spa in Sandy Springs, GA.
In 2017 I decided that it is easier to run a business by myself and opened a medical spa on Alpharetta.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I believe it’s never a smooth road on the way to success. It takes a lot of time and patience, but when you know exactly what you want and work hard towards it, nothing is impossible.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Allure Aesthetic Center – what should we know?
We are a medical spa, located in crabapple area. We specialize in Medical aesthetics (Botox, derma fillers), medical weight loss and medical grade skin treatments.
Have had an amazing group of medical professionals who are very patient oriented. We always listen to our clients and make professional suggestions if necessary, the results always exceed our client’s expectations.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I am truly blessed to have such an amazing team of employees. They believed in me when I just opened the medspa and we all worked really hard to be where we are now.
Anthony Ferrara (physician assistant)- I have known Tony for many years now and he is so easy to work with, everyone loves him. He is a true friend, and I can not imagine this office without him.
Michelle Jones (medical esthetician)- As soon as I met Michelle (when I interviewed her for esthetician position), I knew she is the one, She is so good at what she does, she is very professional and result oriented with every client’s skin. As soon as a client lies on her table, they become her client for life.
Lucy Brazier (nurse practitioner)- Lucy is awesome! She is so full of life, she has a great eye for medical aesthetics and patients love her.
Carla Jones (physician assistant)- Carla is a sweetheart. She came from dermatology and specializes in facial fillers. She is very outgoing and can keep a conversation with anyone about anything. She is the latest addition to our Allure Family and we really enjoy having her.
Stacey Geyer (front desk receptionist)- I’ve known Stacey for couple years now and she is my right hand in the office, I know I can always count on her.
But of course, my husband Max deserves the biggest credit, he has been with me through so much and I can always count on him. He is the one who made this office happen.
