Today we’d like to introduce you to Miranda A. Parker.
Miranda, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My name is Miranda A. Parker. Georgia born and raised, on September 2nd, 1996, I was born in the great city of Atlanta, GA to Bishop Randy & Elect Lady Janice Parker. I grew up in the small but well-known city of Douglasville, GA, where I attended Factory Shoals Elementary & Middle School and graduated from New Manchester High School in 2015, where I was a part of the first class to go through all four years and the class vice president as well as the Student Government Association President. In high school, I taught myself the basics of graphic design and I kept to it as I began to explore other careers and grow in age.
After graduation, I attended North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. Here, I was a chemistry major in hopes of becoming an obstetrician & gynecologist. After completing a semester, I missed the place I called home & I made the best decision to transfer to Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. Here, I remained a chemistry major, until I realized my true passion… law. After changing my major to political science with a concentration in law and minor in philosophy, I continued to work on graphic design projects and learn new techniques.
On January 3rd, 2018, I gave birth to my beautiful daughter, Jazlyn Marie. Becoming a mom at 20, as well as a full-time working student, it pushed me to strive and work even harder. After taking time off from school, I was introduced to the field of real estate, where I fell in love with the profession and soon after, went through the educational requirements as well as the state exam, and I am now a licensed REALTOR® in the metro Atlanta area. Also known as The HOMEgirl Miranda.
Over the years, not only have I grown, but so has J. Parker Designs the brand. I am so excited to see all that is to come and meet all my new clients as well as engage with my current loyal clients. J. Parker is named after my daughter because she is the best thing to happen to me and because of that, I am driven to only provide the best for my clients.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. For years I stepped away from graphic design to perfect my craft and focus on the life-changing events that were taking place in my life. Even when I made the decision to start my business back up and re-brand myself initially, it was hard getting the projects to come in and finding the time to actually dedicate myself to doing what needed to be done.

J. Parker Designs is a graphic design business. I specialize in all things graphic but my specialties are logos, custom backdrops and e-flyers. I’m known for delivering the most upscale designs in the quickest time frame.
As a company, I am most proud of our ability to build not just business relationships but long-standing personal relationships. A lot of our clients are repeat clients, and without them, there would be no J. Parker. What sets JPD apart from others is our ability to complete projects in a timely manner and ultimately build those relationships where we know we have clients for life.
