Meet Mitchell Graham of ShotByMeechh in North Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mitchell Graham.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Mitchell. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hi, my name is Mitchell Graham, but some of you may know me as Meechh. My journey being the man behind the camera first began in 2009, by creating comical skits with a music collective named “Never Back Down Music Group.” NBDMG & I attended the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, the place that primarily sparked me to use a camera. We were forced to create our own entertainment at BGCMA, therefore we resulted in filming countless comical skits and music videos each week.

To add on, I got involved in the Audio and Visual Ministry at my church, where I would film the Sunday service. All in all, I started off as a videographer, as opposed to a photographer. Over time, I began to practice shooting still images on my phone. I would shoot anything from leaves to actual humans, and then upload it to my Instagram.

However, this was something I was doing for fun, rather than taking it as serious. In 2016, I produced a passion for capturing images so much that I finally created a separate Instagram just for my photography. From that point on, I began studying my craft and treating like a business.

Currently, I work with many people ranging from aspiring models to companies/organizations. I owe my thanks to rising public figures such as SheLovesMeechie and Yummy Pearl for allowing me to better my craft by working with them, as I came up.

Now that I have I mastered a certain level of my craft, I’ve begun to implement concept shoots, prints and even teaching visual classes to aspiring photographers and videographers. Ultimately, I plan to inspire other creatives to be multifaceted by breaking the barriers of submitting to one agenda.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The biggest challenged I faced was balancing my business while finishing up college. I knew I had to graduate, but I also knew I had to consistently produce content for my business. I found myself losing countless amounts of sleep every night trying to finish edits and homework at the same time. All in all, I adapted and am very thankful for the many lessons that struggle taught me.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the ShotByMeechh story. Tell us more about the business.
Currently, my business creates personal and promotional images for clients, whether it’s filming a visual or capturing a candid. ShotByMeechh is a brand I created that would do more than just produce images, but also bridge the gap by drawing creatives from all fields of study to one single platform. The high level of professionalism and positivity I portray is something I’m proud to say sets me apart from other.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I wouldn’t necessarily say luck has played a role in my life or business, but I am grateful for some of the people and opportunities that were placed in my life.
