Today we’d like to introduce you to MixMasterDavid.
MixMasterDavid was born and raised in Friendship, Jamacia. He learned how to DJ at the young age of 10 and quickly “Mastered” the Caribbean DJ styles. MixMasterDavid moved to the United States when he was 20 and resided in Florida. There he wanted to expand his DJ style past Caribbean music and learned to incorporate more mainstream styles. MixMasterDavid moved to Atlanta with a heavy Hip-Hop scene and quickly adapted. He began DJing at Josephine Lounge in 2014 and has been a pivotal part of the international Hip-Hop fusion experience ever since. Now, MixMasterDavid DJs every weekend at Josephine Lounge and loves getting the crowd hyped and putting good vibes into the air.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
MixMasterDavid has a deep love for DJing and would say that’s what makes him the best. He had to study mainstream music and styles that his audience was listening to in Florida and Atlanta. Although he had to mix up his style, it wasn’t too difficult to quickly learn mainstream music.

Josephine Lounge is designed to fit with an upscale and classy environment. We are known for our Sin Sundays, Celebrity Guests appearances, Day Parties and more! We are known for offering a wide selection of food cooked to perfection, including Gourmet Seafood, Crab Platters, Wings, Quesadillas & Sliders. We have our spotlighted DJ MixMasterDavid and a variety of DJs at Josephine every night playing all the newest, hottest music including Hip-Hop to R&B, old school to afrobeat, Caribbean to Reggaeton.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
MixMasterDavid has a genuine love and passion for DJing that adds to his music knowledge and expertise. His love for seeing his crowd hyped and in-tune with the music is what he thrives on. It is not uncommon to see a look of pure joy on his face as he looks out over a crowd enjoying themselves to his music.
