Today we’d like to introduce you to Molly Weir.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Molly. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m an Atlanta-based documenter of bright & bold couples who want their most important moments to be captured with fun in technicolor.
In 2009, I made the shift from photographing flowers and dogs to people. After photographing over 100 family sessions, I booked my first wedding. My favorite moment of every wedding: The couple finally gets away from the whirlwind of the ceremony into a quiet side area. They breathe a sigh of relief and catch a glance, realizing simultaneously, “We’re finally married!” I feel so thankful for all the happy tears and abundant cheers I get to witness in the most authentic and real of moments. As soon as I felt that for the first time, I was hooked.
Beginning in 2013, I began photographing products for their online retail shops and marketing collateral. It ranged from used cars at a dealership to various types of flooring products. I adore getting to show off products and present them in the best way possible.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Learning photography was easy. Learning how to build, manage, and grow a successful long-lasting business is the tricky part. Keeping up with trends and constantly changing client needs and priorities is what keeps it interesting!

Molly Weir Photography specializes in photographing people and products. That can include families, babies, weddings, cookies, cars, and food!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The best moment so far of my career has been the ability to run my business full time.
