Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Gibson.
Sandra Gibson, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages. I am also a mother of two children. My husband and I believe in putting God first, also in raising our children to be independent thinkers, integrity keepers, and kind human-beings. My passion for teaching children began in my teen’s years as a high school internship program. Then in 1994, I attended Norfolk State University, for early childhood development. In 2002, my sister-in-law and I had a vision, a desire to do more in our community in a little basement in Brooklyn, so we created San-Dee’s Day Care “A Home Away From Home” Where Learning is fun! Due to our integrity, creativity, love for teaching, and our commitment to our children, parents, and community we grew to have three promising Day Care Centers, two in Brooklyn and one in Queens. For 13 plus years we provided, taught and guided our children to be the best they could be.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One big challenge has been finances, Montessori material is very expensive, I love the material and I have a passion for teaching children. I am in a community in Marietta that cannot afford the tuition so I allowed two children to come for free so they could benefit from the Montessori education. I love helping the community but it does cause a challenge for me to get the materials that the students need to advance in their development. I also accepted five autistic children in my school semester that has been very challenging because we do not have the resources that they need. But we do find that Montessori is the best option for them.
Montessori Learning Centers – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We provide Montessori education for children 2.5 to 9 years old. We also provide care for autistic children and provide ABA therapy, speech therapy and OT therapy. We are Montessori certified teachers from Kennesaw State University. Our Montessori school is a home away from home we are passionate about children. We sincerely care about and appreciate our students and their individual growth we are dedicated to the Montessori teaching methods to help our students become the best person they can be.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
2017 school semester has been my proudest moment actually observing that Montessori works. I would always choose Montessori and I love to see three year old reading!

Hi I am Sandra Mother’s and from the very beginning Sandra was a go getting ehen she first can and told me that she was opening a daycare I knew it was going to be successful so I didnt stand in her way then Sandra open up her Montessori school again I knew that she would succeed

Mrs. Sandra Gibson, Is an enthusiastic and ambitious person with passionate drive. I remember when Mrs. Gibson started out with San-Dee’s Day care in Brooklyn NY.
