Morgan Anderson

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up I watched my mother, a master cosmetologist, own and operate in hair salons. Being exposed on the professional level I learned to love the culture and the expression of women in beauty. Never in a million years did I think I would be in the beauty industry, it just kind of happened. After graduating high school in 2019, I was a drift. I knew I did not want to go to college, so I turned to the military. A month before I was set to leave for basic training, I changed my mind. The military was not me; it was not my path. I went back to my roots and I looked into beauty. I loved nail designing as a hobby growing up but I did not think it could be a career for someone that looked like me. Yet my mother pushed me to tour Georgia Career Institute, a beauty school which had all the beauty industry training. My Nail Technology course was 620 hours, the best decision I had made in a long time. My mom always said when do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. Advice that I will now pass on. After graduation and successfully passing Georgia State Board, Mod Nails and Beauty located in Atlanta, Ga found my nail page on Instagram and offered me a position as a nail technician. I worked and trained under the owner, Kayla; she took my natural talents to the next level. After two years of working in a traditional nail salon, I knew I was ready for the next step. I gained a consistent clientele and perfected my craft, I knew I was ready. January 2022 I secured my own salon suite and opened Babe Cave Beauty, LLC in Virgina-Highlands! I regularly attend advanced training classes to continue to provide top-quality and trendy services.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of my biggest struggles was taking criticism and meeting my client’s expectations. I remember when I first started working at the salon, I provided a nail service to a client, at the time I though my work was good. Instead of letting me know, she left a bad review on Google. I thought my career was over. I had to learn to take that review shake it off and use it has motivation to get better and go harder.

As you know, we’re big fans of Babe Cave Beauty,bLLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
