Meet Morgan Bosman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Bosman.

Morgan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up in St. Louis as a daughter; sister; niece and granddaughter to jazz musicians/instrumental educators, music was always around. Influences in soul, pop, rock and jazz saturated my sound from an early age. Life brought me to Nashville where I attended college at Belmont University to study music business and began developing my original sound and focusing on songwriting. Throughout this journey, whether writing, touring or recording, my favorite part of all is connecting deeply with other humans and spreading love.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Growth is a journey in itself and with growth comes discomfort. Honestly, I feel like if you’re too comfortable, you’re not growing. For me, I’ve definitely gone through my share of growing pains – from dealing with rejection, anxiety and depression to having to rewire my perspective on loving myself fully and being unapologetically me. Each and every day is a learning curve and I’m grateful for those eye opening, challenging moments because they’re necessary.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with your music – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I’m an artist to the core. I tell stories through music. I guess you could say I’m a ‘story teller’. I’m so glad the creator gave us the ability to create and I feel like every living energy is an extension of God in some way. I create stories and melodies as a songwriter, performing artist, recording artist, through style, through voice, through flute, through ukulele, through keys, through song. It’s a beautiful energy to reciprocate feels. Reciprocate a vibe. A self-love advocate is what I am. I want you to know that what you’re feeling is valid when you experience my music.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’ve just released an ’80s pop inspired single called ‘No Time’ and am currently working on my EP – so excited! I’m also looking forward to spending a lot more time in the beautiful city of Atlanta very soon. The creative energy there is very special.
