Meet Morgan and Jack Carrig of Whiskers on Kittens Boarding in Johns Creek

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan and Jack Carrig.

Morgan and Jack, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We opened in October of 2015. We got the idea for our business from a boarding facility that we took our cat to. We thought it was a great idea and Johns Creek was in need of a Cat Only Boarding facility so we opened one of our own.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of our struggles along the way have been the advertising, trying to get the word out about our business, and getting customer’s.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Whiskers on Kittens Boarding – what should we know?
We are a cat only boarding facility. We board cats while their owners are out of town.

The difference between us and other businesses is that we provide a cat only boarding which is a stress-free environment for cats. Cats can be skittish sometimes so we believe it’s important to make them feel comfortable. We also have a lot of playtime where the cats can get out to play in our four large play areas. We have two playrooms with climbing shelves and cat trees. We provide a clean environment for the cats as well.

We are proud of the customers we have, the returning customers, and the great reviews that we get. We are also proud of the pictures that we send out every day to the owners it lets them know their cat is having fun.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The qualities that make us important is being a cat only boarding facility, our “kitty” condos that have four levels a perch, a level for their bed, a level for their food and a basement level where their litter box is. Our 4 large playrooms are also an essential quality, our playrooms have climbing trees, toys and climbing shelves. We also have a big wheel that the cats can walk on. The cats love playing in our play areas.

The other important quality is that we have a clean, spacious, and comfortable stress free environment for the cats to stay in.
