Hi Naijentelij, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Sahm turned content creator by accident, I started my instagram page as kind of an album for myself and my family to document my journey through motherhood. I never imagined that doing this would lead me to having my first viral video within the first 3 months of creating the page and that this video alone would grow my page to 10k followers, basically I was an overnight content creator. So many moms started reaching out to me asking me for advice or relating to my content and I quickly realized I really loved helping them, so I started to really focus on that and creating content sharing my experiences and knowledge surrounding motherhood while also being funny and having light hearted moments. I always knew I wanted to give others a sense of community and support and recently someone reached out to tell me just how much my page made them feel like they where a part of my family and that’s one of the things I love about what I do, so many people feel alone and uninspired and to be in a position where I can make someone laugh and spark inspiration in them means the world to me. Today my page continues to grow and has opened many doors for me and my family financially and otherwise. And I truly still after 3 years love sharing my life and motherhood with the world.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think in every journey there are challenges when putting yourself on a social media platform you expose yourself to people who will love you and your content but at the same time you encounter so many hateful comments and criticism you never expect. Getting over the negative people online in the beginning I feel like was one of my biggest bumps in the road because it made me doubt myself and my content to the point where I almost wanted to not do it anymore. But after time and experience online I truly realized you can do things with the best of intentions and there will always be one or more that will criticize no matter what so why even put importance on that, I started to focus on the people that did love me and my page and from that point forward I’ve never allowed the negative affect me again.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In specialize in helping mothers through motherhood by sharing my knowledge and experiences. I am known for my creative kids craft ideas, mommy hacks, and having the ability to make parenting moments funny. I am most proud of the way I have chosen to raise my kids, I always knew I wanted to homeschool, gentle parent, and be at home with my kids in a spacious home that was ours, and I’ve been able to do all of it and so much more while also helping others do the same and it’s something am truly so proud of. I would say what sets me apart from others is my ability to do it all, for me motherhood, creativity and creating content comes naturally and I am consistently asked how do you do it? And the answer I give is always I just do!
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memories was definitely any road trips I took with my parents and sisters we always had such a good time playing music the whole ride and my dad always made sure to take us to all our favorite restaurants and we did a lot of shopping along the way as a kid getting to sit with my parents and laugh and just see the world meant so much to me.
