Thanks for sharing your story with us Natasha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As a young child, people would always ask me what I wanted to do when I grew up. I would always answer that I wanted to open a day spa, having never set foot in one! I guess the affinity and inate ability that I have for the beauty industry have always been in me. After completing my bachelor’s degree in Marketing at the University of Tennessee, I worked in corporate America for about 10 years before returning to my true calling. I became licensed as an esthetician and worked as a contractor providing facial rejuvenation for two years before branching out on my own. ResurFace Skin & Lash Boutique opened in March of 2016 on faith and the desire to do what I truly love the way that “I” see best. I’ve had the most amazing clients for years and they support me in my efforts and dreams. I’m looking forward to building the brand and creating a professional line of skincare products for all skin types and ethnicities.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has not always been smooth. My biggest struggle is determining the best way to promote and attract new clientele in order to keep the schedule as full as possible. In the beginning, I was a team of one, so that meant long work days and weeks. I work part-time to support myself and just about every dollar that I earn at ResurFace goes back into building the brand. It’s been extremely unnerving at times but I have learned to trust in this process of growth. I’m starting to see everything coming together as planned, and that keeps me going.

In 2017, we look forward to celebrating our first anniversary and will host a huge celebration for this occasion. We also plan to offer Micro-needling for skin tightening and scar smoothing/repair. ResurFace Skincare will begin research and development for the most innovative skincare line and we hope to have products to market by early 2018.
