Meet Nathalie Armand-Bradley of Mod Punch Designs in Macon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathalie Armand-Bradley.

Nathalie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I essentially got into the field of interior design before I knew it even existed.

It all started back in 2008. I was working in corporate at the time. About a year into the position, my husband and I found out that we were expecting. 6 months later, I gave birth to our 24 week micro preemie and autistic son Sebastian.

I never thought about living environments and the connection it has with well-being at the time. But I was sort of forced into a new world where the environment had to truly meet the needs of all its inhabitants. I started researching color theory and how wall color could affect mood. I later delved into different types of environmentally safe fabrics, lighting and submerged myself in creating a home that was functional, inspiring and comforting but it wasn’t until Sebastians speech therapist came over and urged me to look into a career in design that I started to consider helping other people for a living.

I’ve always been fascinated about how people live and the way in which living/working environments play a role in happiness. I started taking online courses and classes in 3D technology and began working for an online company. Shortly after, I decided to work for myself and created Mod Punch Designs in 2016.

It’s been a heck of a journey and I’m excited to have recently won a business pitch competition which will assist in expanding the Mod Punch brand.

My greatest vision is to create a nonprofit organization that will help those that are transitioning out of poverty live beautifully. I truly believe that great design should be accessible to all.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been an extremely bumpy road cultivating a new startup company in the midst of caring for a special needs child and five years old toddler. But somehow, these challenges have managed to be the very thing that keeps me going. I feel very optimistic about the future of Mod Punch and will continue to ride the waves.

Please tell us about Mod Punch Designs.
Mod Punch Designs is interior design firm located in Macon, GA. We marry the use of technology and science to create custom designs both virtually and physically. 3D and 4K photorealistic renderings are a large component to the design phase and one of our greatest tools to bringing the vision to light. We also rely heavily on the science aspect of design and connect it as much as possible to the individual. Our e-design service is one of our most popular offering and has been a great success with busy entrepreneurs. Some of our other offerings include full design renovations, virtual staging and home organization.

The customer experience is what sets us apart. No two rooms are the same and we truly make every design custom to the individual. So we seek to fill in the details with those sentimental treasures. These are the things that help tell the story. We believe that well-being is now a philosophy.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I remember my father taking my brother and I to the mall and having the opportunity to purchasing whatever I wanted. I bought my first boombox that day. It was literally the greatest day of my childhood life. I remember playing Jazzmatazz Vol 1 by Guru for the first time. It was the beginning of my love affair with music. I found the greatest sense of happiness just sitting in my room listening.
