

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Lett.
SoluSan was founded in April of 2014 as a sanitation company looking to change the face of the industry. We saw an open gap in the market due to overall client dissatisfaction and lack of cleaning effectiveness and efficiency. Our three owners came together and identified this gap and decided to construct a company that would serve our clients with safety, integrity and dependability. Alongside that initiative, we also vowed to truly identify sanitation issues within each of our client’s facilities and attack the problem the right way to ensure the safest environment possible.
Each of our three owners continued working their day-to-day jobs while formulating plans for growth, selling our services in the evenings of each week and each weekend, we continued to grow in the first year of business, however our breakthrough really came in the second year. We partnered with over 25 CrossFit facilities in the Atlanta region which propelled our business to new heights. This partnership was a huge contributor to our 300% growth between year one and two.
In November of 2015, SoluSan opened our residential segment. We started servicing carpets, rugs, furniture upholstery and automobile upholstery. We never foresaw the amount of success we would have in the residential segment. Within one year our business tripled by growing another 300% due to the addition of residential sanitation services.
Just entering our 4th year of business, SoluSan is proud to announce that we have grown 300% every year since our inauguration in April of 2014. As well, we now have over 4,200 likes on our Facebook page and that number continues to grow rapidly every month. We take pride in our ability to service our clients with the same safety, integrity and dependability as we served with on day 1. Our core values as a business are reflected in the feedback of our clients. We are very excited to continue our growth pattern and we look forward to another wonderful year in 2017!
Has it been a smooth road?
There are always struggles in the customer service industry. The expectation is always very high, and we love that! When expectations are high, then you must hold your company to an incredibly high standard in order to exceed those expectations. As a small business, there have been so many times where obstacles and variables have presented themselves. As I am sure is the case with any small business, there have been countless times where we could have thrown our hands up and folded our cards. The three of us made a promise to each other when we started our business that we would push through any struggle and overcome any obstacle along the way. I remember times where our vehicles have broken down, and we had to put our technicians in U-Haul vans to finish servicing their route. All of our vehicles are fully wrapped in marketing and advertisement vinyl, so this was a major issue for us as we always strive to maintain that professional and clean image. Imagine pulling up to a client’s house to service their carpets in a U-Haul van. We did what we had to do, stayed transparent with our clients and maintained our professionalism. In times like those, SoluSan always seems to come out stronger than before.

SoluSan is a sanitation services provider that services both the commercial and residential sectors. We specialize in removing bacteria, grime, mold, dirt and other things that can cause health issues. Our equipment enables us to extract all of those things and dispose of them off site to ensure health and safety. This is something that greatly sets us apart from our competitors. Most cleaning companies only surface clean and do not take appropriate steps to ensure proper removal and disposal of potentially harmful matter.
I have stated this a few times now, but we service our clients with safety, integrity and dependability. We have an indefinite amount of feedback from our clients stating that they have never received the type of care and attention that SoluSan provides. When you match that with a premium service that is not matched by other competitors, I believe that is the leading contributor to our business success.
Also, SoluSan believes in true Philanthropy. We give 5% of our profits to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We are so proud to have aligned with such a great organization. We have 5 children between our 3 owners, all of who have been touched by the wonderful hands of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. After several site tours and hands-on assistance, we can undeniably say that all of us believe CHOA is the best organization in the world.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Atlanta is a great city for commerce. It is very large and full of potential clients. It’s also has a great culture and wonderful people who truly care about each other. Atlanta has been a great place for our business, and we could not imagine starting our journey anywhere else.
I believe anyone starting a business in Atlanta has an unlimited territory of potential and the opportunity to accomplish anything they set their mind to. Whether starting within the city or venturing into the outskirts, business and residential homes are infinite. There is so much opportunity for anyone who has the vision to lay their foundation here in Atlanta!
I believe, across the board, if you ask business owners what the city of Atlanta could do to improve commerce the response would be consensual: traffic! With our city being home to around 6 million people, traffic is something that can throw a wrench into business operations. You begin to acclimate yourself with Atlanta traffic and find ways to not let it negatively affect the flow of your business. While traffic may be a headache, the pros of operating a business in Atlanta will always far outweigh the con of traffic.
