Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathaniel Moore.
Omarimc.com is a professional music promotion agency and music marketing blog. The owner, Nathaniel (Omari) Moore, began as a music producer at the young age of 14 in Pittsburgh, PA. However, from his time producing, Omari created a large network of loyal fans and popular music influencers. Now he shares that network with musicians of all genres through his music promotion services.
The main caveat is Omari does not promote any explicit content. This includes cursing, misogyny, drug use, and violence. Being in the music industry, this has caused some great discussions with artists who have never even thought of creating a song without explicit content. While Omari does not only promote Christian music, the founder is a Christian and those values influence the decisions and mission of the business.
Additionally, Omari has written loads of educational material for anyone braving today’s music industry. He explains how he built a thriving business and teaches how you too can make money through music.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One of the smartest things we did was to pay attention to the music market. At the official start of the company in 2014, we weren’t even selling music promotion. Omari was mostly a brand known for making instrumentals. However, as more and more artists began to ask questions about how to get their music properly promoted, we knew there was an opportunity.
The music industry was known for having murky business around promotion. Artists feared that when they paid for promotion, they would receive bot plays and no genuine interaction from real listeners. It has taken years to put together a good network of people and we’re still improving it all the time.
While the road wasn’t easy, it could have been much more difficult had we waited on developing the service.
Please tell us about Omari Music Promotion.
The main thing people know us for is our Spotify promotion. We have a network of popular playlisters who review music for us. On Spotify, the easiest way to get plays is through a good playlist. However, these playlisters get bombarded with music submissions all the time, so we made a system where it’s an easy and fun review process for the playlisters. We also provide YouTube, SoundCloud, and Instagram promotion.
Additionally, we have ebooks, audiobooks, and courses that teach artists in-depth tactics on music marketing. What sets us apart with the courses and ebooks is we give them out for free. We know artists would rather buy the promotion for their songs, but we’ve come to know the thing they may need even more than the promotion is the proper knowledge of marketing.
Whenever someone buys a promotion from us, we give them the marketing ebook and audiobook for free. Also, we give them free Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify ad courses whenever they purchase a specific amount of promotion. Another large thing that sets us apart is we don’t promote any explicit content. The company doesn’t only promote Christian content, but being a Christian business owner, I’m still responsible for the things I help promote in society.
To take someone’s money and turn a blind eye to what’s actually being promoted in the song isn’t something that this company would stand for.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My team deserves some credit for sure! Jaron, Tyree, & Carter have all been very helpful in the growth of this company. Without them, I’d be stuck trying to juggle a thousand things at once. A good team can’t be appreciated enough.
My wife, Mickail, has also been supportive of my business endeavors. She even was working in the company before we had our newest daughter this past August. Her support takes a huge weight off my back knowing I’m free to create, grow, and do the things God has called this company to do in the music industry.
Lastly, I can’t forget about our amazing clients! Without them, we don’t have a business at all. Thank you to each and every artist that continues to support us by using our promotion, ebooks, and courses. We look forward to serving this new and exciting music industry for years to come.
