Today we’d like to introduce you to Neisha Aireal
Hi Neisha , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started creating content when I realized people were genuinely interested in how I maintained my healthy hair. At the same time, I noticed the curiosity surrounding my eyes—comments like, “What’s wrong with her eyes?” or “She’s pretty even with a lazy eye” made me aware of how little people knew about different eye conditions. That’s when it clicked for me: I wasn’t just here to share my love for hair and beauty, but also to educate and inspire. There are so many people who may feel insecure about their own eye conditions, and even more who don’t realize that blindness and visual impairment look different for everyone.
My journey really took off when I stopped worrying about what people thought and just focused on sharing my experiences. Whether I was showing healthy hair habits or giving my perspective on life, I stayed true to myself. Going viral a few times definitely helped, but more than anything, being unapologetically me started opening doors to work with brands I love.
One of the biggest moments for me was going viral last year with a hair video using a trending sound about Black women’s hair. While I received a lot of love, I also saw countless jokes about my eyes. At first, it was overwhelming—I felt everything from excitement to frustration. But within the negativity, there was so much support. People were reaching out to tell me how much they admired my confidence, and that’s when I knew I had to keep going. God placed me on this path for a reason—not just to educate and entertain, but to inspire and advocate for the low-vision community.
Being visually impaired influences my content in many ways. My perspective is different because I experience the world differently. Whether I’m trying new products, visiting new places, or sharing my story through TransparenSEE Tuesday, I bring my unique lens to everything I create. While my vision is a part of me, it’s not all that I am—and instead of shying away from it, I embrace it.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that we are all made perfectly with a purpose. Our differences are what make us special, and even though it can be scary to stand out, there’s so much power in owning who you are. Someone out there needs to hear your story, and you might be inspiring more people than you even realize.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely been a little bumpy, but every challenge has shaped me into the creator I am today. One of the biggest struggles has been dealing with the opinions of others—especially about my eyes. In the beginning, I was hesitant to put myself out there because I knew people would have things to say. And when I did start posting, the comments came just as I expected. Some were kind, but others were rude, ignorant, or just flat-out mean. It took time to build the confidence to keep showing up, despite what people thought. I still have my moments. I am human. When those moments come up I try to focus on the bigger picture and the positives.
Another challenge has been navigating content creation as a visually impaired person. A lot of things that seem simple—like reading a product label, editing small details in videos, or even just engaging with certain platforms—can take extra effort. I’ve had to adapt and find ways to make content creation work for me, whether that means using accessibility tools or getting creative with how I film and edit.
Despite the struggles, I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything. Every obstacle has taught me something valuable, and every time I push past a challenge, I’m reminded of why I started in the first place.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator specializing in natural hair, beauty, and lifestyle, with a focus on visually impaired advocacy. I share everything from hair tutorials and product reviews to personal storytelling through my TransparenSEE Tuesday series, where I openly discuss life as a visually impaired woman.
What sets me apart is my unique perspective—I don’t just create beauty content, I also bring visibility to an often-overlooked community. My experiences shape how I navigate the world, and I use my platform to educate, inspire, and empower others to embrace their authenticity.
I’m most proud of the community I’ve built and the impact my content has had. Whether it’s helping someone feel more confident in their hair journey or encouraging them to embrace their differences, knowing my transparency makes a difference keeps me going. To me, beauty is about more than just how you look—it’s about owning who you are.
Any big plans?
Looking ahead, I’m focused on growing my brand and expanding my reach as a content creator. I want to continue working with brands I love, but on a larger scale—moving from collaborations to long-term partnerships. I’m also diving deeper into YouTube to create more in-depth content and build a stronger community there.
Beyond content creation, I want to expand into digital products and work with organizations to advocate for the blind/low vision community.
Overall, I’m excited to keep evolving, stepping outside my comfort zone, and using my platform to inspire and empower even more people.
