Today we’d like to introduce you to Nelson L Moody Sr.
Nelson, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I represented myself to the Supreme Court of The United States just to be a part of my son’s life. I’m an author of 4 books about fatherhood, a screenplay and documentary based on my first two books and a talkshow called “INTERNATIONALFATHERS MAGAZINE”. My TALKSHOW encourages and inspires fathers to be a part of their Children’s lives while saluting and honoring those who are in the lives of their children. I’ve been featured in a number of magazines in my hometown of Baltimore, MD. My vision is that my show will be on a major network where you hear positive stories about fathers internationally. I started my TALKSHOW on June 12, 2009 all because I never had a dad in my life
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not smooth at all, once my attorney struck her appearance I was left with proving to the judicial system in Baltimore Md that I was not the person I was alleged to be ( abusive father with inappropriate discipline to and on my son since), from 6 months to 10 years old. Once this was established my attorney within time left my case forcing me to learn how to represent myself. I learned this in one hour from a librarian who saw my determination not to let the allegations stick, more importantly being in my son’s life. That’s when I started writing everything while studying case law similar to mine.
Please tell us about INTERNATIONALFATHERS.
My TALKSHOW, INTERNATIONALFATHERS is an unprecedented show as the vision is to bridge fathers and their children internationally no matter what race, color, wealth or educational status on thing we have in common is that we are all fathers. My specialty is inspiring and encourages fathers to be a part of their Children’s lives while saluting and honoring those who are in the lives of their children. The most proud part of my company is hearing positive stories about fathers. The one thing that sets me apart from others is it’s never been done. I launched my magazine called “INTERNATIONALFATHERS” in April of 2019 with more to come.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I don’t have a favorite, but one good one is being with my two brothers, family and friends. As a child, I’ve always wanted to tell stories because I believe that everyone has a story to tell.
