My journey into entrepreneurship didn’t start with a perfect plan — it started with purpose and resilience. I’ve always had a desire to build something of my own, something that created both financial freedom and impact. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats, but each experience taught me discipline, leadership, and the importance of betting on myself.
I officially stepped into entrepreneurship when I launched Tai’Co Beauty, offering teeth whitening and cosmetic services. What started as a vision quickly became a passion. I wasn’t just providing a service — I was helping people feel more confident and comfortable in their smiles. That confidence transformation inspired me deeply.
As I grew personally, I also felt called to share my story. That led to the creation of my book, From Hurt to Her, where I opened up about pain, healing, and becoming whole. Writing that book was a turning point for me. It reminded me that entrepreneurship isn’t just about business — it’s about growth, purpose, and legacy.
Today, I consider myself a multi-brand entrepreneur and creative visionary. I continue building brands rooted in confidence, self-expression, and empowerment. My journey hasn’t been linear, but every lesson, setback, and breakthrough shaped the woman and business owner I am today.
I’m still evolving, still building, and still trusting the process — and that’s the most exciting part.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Entrepreneurship will stretch you in ways you don’t expect — mentally, emotionally, and financially. There have been moments of self-doubt, slow seasons, and times when I questioned whether I was doing enough or moving fast enough.
Building multiple brands while also growing personally required discipline and resilience. I’ve had to learn patience, consistency, and how to keep showing up even when results weren’t immediate. There were sacrifices — long hours, reinvesting into my business, and pushing through when things felt uncertain.
Beyond business challenges, I’ve also faced personal growth struggles. Healing, evolving, and stepping into a new version of myself wasn’t always easy. But those experiences shaped my leadership and strengthened my vision.
Every setback taught me something. Every obstacle forced me to grow. Looking back, I’m grateful it wasn’t smooth — because the challenges built the foundation for the confidence and clarity I have today.

My goal is not just to brighten smiles, but to help clients walk away feeling more confident, polished, and self-assured.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
“I’ve found that finding a mentor or building a strong network really comes down to being intentional and authentic. Start by identifying people whose work you admire or who are in the areas you want to grow in. Don’t be afraid to reach out with a thoughtful message—people are often more willing to share advice than we assume. When networking, focus on building genuine relationships rather than just collecting contacts. Attend events, workshops, or even online communities related to your field, and offer value wherever you can. For me personally, being consistent, showing appreciation, and staying engaged with my mentors and peers has created opportunities I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. At the end of the day, your network is only as strong as the relationships you nurture.”
