Today we’d like to introduce you to Niché Caldwell.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Niché. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my career first with an internship in set design for ScreenGems studios. I worked on a few network shows before I then interned for a local interior designer. I then opened my one form in 2014, first being privately commissioned and then opening fully in the summer of 2016.
Today, I have had amazing clients and have gotten great testimonials and reviews from everyone I’ve worked with. I don’t leave a stone unturned and I am extremely detail oriented, always thinking of what my client wants and their expectations.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not always been smooth. I didn’t even live in Atlanta full time until 2016. My family and I were back and forth between here and Denver, Colorado for four years. So, when I opened it wasn’t full time. Also, I’ve had a renovation client who was amazing but the contractor I had chosen was horrible and destroyed the job. He walked out on the project leaving my company with enormous bills and plenty of lessons learned. It helped me grow as a designer and also made me less trusting when dealing with who I hire to work on my clients homes. I’m very scrutinizing now and again very detail oriented.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Caldwell Homes and Interiors – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Caldwell Homes and Interiors is a luxury, full service interior design firm in Roswell, GA. We specialize in the comfortable luxury aesthetic and our services include project management, consulting and residential interior design. We are known for achieving that luxurious look and feel, no matter the price point. We work with all kinds of budgets and therefore have a wide range of executing many styles.
I’m most proud of our studio located in Roswell. It was once a storage unit and I had a vision for it to be a home office away from home. So, we have any of the same rooms you would find in a home and yet it’s in an office park.
We are separate from other because of our unique ability to have vision for what our clients are wanting most, when I walk into a space, I can visualize it completely dressed and relay what I see to the homeowner. That’s a skill that I share on our very first consultation which I know many designers just can’t do. For me it’s more of a gift than a skill.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that Atlanta is still very southern but also has all the makings of a big city. Much like New York, the vibe of the city is a hustle mentality and many different trades and industries all in one place. I love the nooks and crannies of Atlanta where on any given street you could find a million dollar home as well as a one-hundred thousand dollar home, The revitalization is buzzing in Atlanta and it’s great to see.
What I like least is something I think everyone would say. Atlanta’s traffic has gotten increasingly crazy and the construction of roads and the highways just hasn’t been able to keep up.
