Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas St. Clair.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Nicholas. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve been blessed to work with some great Chefs, as well as investing in my own education. I have always wanted to own my own restaurant, so when we found Antebellum, we thought we’d give it a shot. From the 1st day I walked in, I knew it was meant to be. The feeling of being complete just kind of overtook me. Fast forward almost 5 years later… we have been blessed to win, two top 100 awards for best restaurants in the United States through OpenTable as well as numerous others. It’s definitely been a dream come true, I feel the need to pinch myself daily, we are definitely an example of the American Dream!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been, believe it or not…of course not all has been perfect, but what worth having is? I do tell people, with Antebellum, the heavens opened…. we are so blessed. Within 6 months of opening, we were on the AJCs list for the top 50 dining in Atlanta, best new opening for 2012, as well has receiving 3 stars from the publication.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Antebellum – what should we know?
My wonderful wife, Alison St. Clair and I, run the day to day operations of Antebellum. We have an amazing staff to lean on, they have been monumental in Antebellum’s success…. past and present. We hope to be the restaurant we want to visit on our days off. We treat our staff as family, and we push ourselves and them to surpass and establish new goals daily. We treasure and respect our guests, without them Antebellum would not exist.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
